Martin Luther King Monday...

I was thinking about this on the way in this morning: The Founding Fathers were inspired, and included the wording "..that all men are created equal" in the Decleration of Independence. Why, then, did it take almost 200 years for blacks/Afro Americans/African Americans to recieve equal status as men/women? And just as long to be able to recive temple blessings and priesthood blessings?

I understand that revelation comes when we are ready to recieve it, and in the Lord's due time. I guess this was one of those times when Jesus knows the best way to run His church, and wouldn't be rushed.
